Training: Ivanhoe Country Kennels Canine Academy
|
 |
At
Ivanhoe Country Kennels Canine Academy we always treat your pet as though
they have been trained. By sticking to a list of prescribed handling
techniques many untrained dogs will begin to understand and after training may obtain the AKC Canine Good Citizen award.
Training
Options
For our patrons who wish to enroll their pets into a formal training program,
we offer three options. All three apply the principles of the American
Kennel Clubs Canine Good Citizenship Program.
- Private
Training Program: In this program your pet is with us for four
weeks and goes home on weekends. Visits during the week also can
be arranged. Maximum results are achieved with this program. We will
focus on basic training, responsiveness and reliability to commands,
long down/stays, long recalls, and socialization. We'll also address
negative behaviors and assist and coach the owner to transfer the training
when your pet graduates.
- Doggy Day Care with Training: Your pet is scheduled for eight visits in a four-week
period. The commands and techniques are explained to the owner so
that they can conduct interim training at home. This program involves
a partnership between our trainer and you, and final results are a joint
effort. Your pet will also participate in Doggie DayCare.
