About Us
Ivanhoe Country Kennels got its start in 1981 as a result of a Father's Day gift. We were blessed with a spry and active little ball of fur, that soon answered to the name of Ivanhoe's Abigail. Abbey grew into one of the finest English Springer Spaniels that we have ever come in contact with. Further, Abbey personally exposed our family to the wonderful world of raising dogs for companionship, hobby and sport.
Since that time we enjoyed the successes of countless honors and awards with our dogs, as well as raising, training and placing puppies from our breeding programs. In more than 20 years of caring for our dogs, we have learned a great deal about the pet care industry.
Owners Bill and Karen Cosgrove grew up with dogs. Bill is a nationally renowned trainer and handler of dogs, with more than 20 years of experience. Bill has been awarded more than 100 ribbons and prizes, including national awards and championships in AKC Performance Events.
Our Kennels
Today we operate Ivanhoe Country Kennels on a six acre site in Lebanon, Ohio. Our setting is an open, airy location along an easy-to-find rural stretch of State Route 42 in Southwest Ohio. With our quiet, quaint country atmosphere, we like to think of it as a "Bed 'n Breakfast for Pets." We invite you to take a tour of our facilities.
